Winter HYGGE Styling Edition - Tip 1

Posted by Tracey Mills on

You cannot achieve that hygge feeling without a cosy living space, so hold onto soft and cosy furnishings, such as throws and cushions, delicate and simple details that will bring warm vibes.

Here we think about luxe velvets, soft cottons and/or chunky knit or faux fur throws in earthy tones such as gold, rusts, caramels and chocolates you could even add a pop of mustard to the colour palette.

A neutral palette base balanced with your earthy tones will add instant hygge to your home.

Cushions should be a combination of block colour and colour/pattern to add depth visually, using a feather insert will allow you to chop the cushions adding another dimension.

Hygge is all about feeling so embrace the sensory pleasure of beautiful fabrics such as our Cactus Silk and Velvet Cushions. Look for natural fibres and luxe materials, organic or recycled cottons are great, these will add an indulgent, lush feel to your living decor.

Another styling tip is to put thought into the pieces that surround you. When it comes to accessories, choose items that make you happy or hold sentimental value. Timber picture frames containing special photographs of memories shared with loved ones, using timber accents  will also add warmth to your living space.
